Niomi: Sleeping on different shifts means we'll only see each other for eight hours a day. That should help us from getting on each other's nerves. Long duration missions are considered a failure if crew members kill each other.
Florence: I've heard on really long missions, they inventory the crew to make sure the amount that left is the same as the amount that arrives.
Niomi: Though on trips greater than nine months, it's not uncommon for them to arrive with more crew than they left with.
